DÂNA novo álbum - "FADO QUE TE AMO"

She was brought up in popular culture with traditions inherited from her grand father, poet, writer and mentor of traditional culture in Azambuja. Trough her parents she embraced Fado and Folklore, witch explains her sensibility to Portuguese traditional music. In spite her 28 years of age she has already participated on Portuguese Song Contest in 2001 and in several music projects as a guest. Fado appears from a fusion between emotion and reason, this is, life, that mystery that happens naturally only by listening and feeling. Dâna belongs to the new generation of Portuguese music, songwriter and poet that loves her roots. Dâna is recording at NAMOUCHE studios her third album with date of release for March 2009. “Fado que te amo” is the new album of Dâna. This album reflects her encounter as an artist and as a fado singer. It..s an album where she exposes her soul and here she shows un unprotected, crying, waif, pure and bohemian fado. After a year of concerts and public, of encounters, of having conversations with lovers and connoisseurs of fado, the path to a new album was easy to find. Among fado cravo, fado das horas, fado menor, fado alexandrino, and other traditional fados, going through names such as Max, Alfredo Marceneiro, Frederico Valerio, and words in the form of lyrics from Dâna and Vasco Lima. And so, through a Portuguese guitar and an acoustic guitar, we are taken through the sorrow and by night on a journey through the depths of her soul and of its FADO.
